A DAY ON!

Over 45 Brigham Young University students and other community members spent Monday morning honoring the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King by renovating a local Habitat for Humanity home in Provo and by working in Habitat's ReStore Home Improvement Outlet in Orem. The service event was part of the university's annual Outreach Day held yearly on Martin Luther King Day. This is the fifth year that local students and community members have spent their "day off" helping to provide the dream of safe and affordable homeownership for local families in need.

Thanks for this post. It is fun to see what other volunteers did on this day. I work at United Way and I volunteered at the South Franklin Community Center. We did a Reader's Theater with the children who live in the area. Lots of BYU students came and volunteered there too. Here is the link to their blog http://sfccboulders.blogspot.com/ if you are interested in seeing what we did there!
