As part of the Freedom Festival's Freedom Village, Habitat for Humanity of Utah County and Rural Housing Development Corporation teamed up to sponsor the annual “A Day at the Beach” event for both kids and kids at heart over the Fourth of July holiday. The event featured Staker Parson's gigantic sand truck, free balloons, fun prizes, and information about local affordable housing programs.
A number of family and community members joined the Price family as they cut the ribbon on their newly renovated Habitat home in Orem this past week. The four bedroom home, located at 95 East 400 North in Orem, was donated to Habitat for Humanity of Utah County last year by Don Robertson. It is the organization’s 49th Utah Valley home and its sixth renovation project.
Habitat for Humanity of Utah County has partnered with Mountain America Credit Union to participate in several community parades this summer. Habitat families, volunteers, and credit union employees are walking next to Habitat's "float" handing out ReStore flyers and candy to parade attendees throughout the summer parade season.
