HABITAT CUTS RIBBON AND REACHES MILESTONE

On Monday, Habitat for Humanity of Utah County reached a milestone by cutting the ribbon on the first-ever homeowner sponsored home in Utah Valley. The three bedroom, 2 bathroom, disabled accessible home, located at 1104 North 950 West in Provo, was funded almost entirely by Habitat homeowner mortgage payments and was built with Galen and Victoria Sorensen and their two small children. Over 75 community members joined Habitat and the Sorensen's as they celebrated the completion of the home with a ribbon cutting ceremony, pizza, and cake! Thanks to all those that made this landmark home a reality! A special thanks also to Sarah Orman and Ian Sanderson for decorating the kid's rooms as part of the affiliate's Adopt a Room program. They did a wonderful job and received many nice compliments!
