Orem – The Exchange Club of Utah Valley has teamed with Salisbury Homes and Timpanogos Harley to sponsor the first annual Black Leather and Cougar Blue Motorcycle Ride with Bronco Mendenhall on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. Proceeds will benefit the Family Support and Treatment Center and other local child abuse prevention programs. Riders are currently being sought for this benefit ride. Cost for an individual rider is $25 ($10.00 for passenger) and includes 2 ½ hour escorted ride, lunch, a pin, and a bandana. In addition to the ride, the ride sponsors will be giving away a 2009 Harley-Davidson Street Bob at the event. Exchange, America’s Service Club, is a group of men and women working to make their communities better places to live through programs of service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Projects, and its national project, the Prevention of Child Abuse. To date, the National Exchange Club’s efforts have helped more than 1.6 million children and 656,000 families eliminate child abuse from their daily lives. The local Exchange club meets weekly for breakfast on Wednesday mornings at 7:30 a.m. at Mimi’s Café in Orem. New members are sought and always welcome to join.
