GO WOLVERINES! UVU CUTS RIBBON ON SECOND HABITAT SPONSORED HOME!

Students, faculty and staff at Utah Valley University (UVU) along with the UVU Cheerleaders and many other community members celebrated the completion of UVU's second Habitat for Humanity sponsored home on Flag Day with a ribbon cutting program, apple pie and ice cream, and the UVU Fight Song. The four bedroom Habitat home was built by UVU Building Construction Students, under the direction of Associate Professor DeWayne Erdmann. In addition to building the house, the UVU community also raised funds for the home at the school’s annual No Snow Indoor 5K held on campus last February, sponsored and decorated rooms in the new home (including the very cute Tinker Bell room), and provided landscaping, cleaning, UVU apparel, and office supplies for the family. The new, fully accessible home, located at 1082 North 950 West in Provo, will be sold to Michelle Terry and will provide safe and affordable housing for herself, three small children, and disabled mother.
