It was another busy day on the Blitz Build site in Springville. This morning, Habitat for Humanity of Utah County in conjunction with the Utah County Health Department and Utah Department of Environmental Quality held a press conference at the site with Miss Utah to kick off the Radon Tee and promote radon awareness. Miss Utah helped to install the part of the radon mitigation system in the new Habitat home. This is the first Habitat home in Utah County to be built with a mitigation system. Today, in addition to the press conference, construction volunteers finished framing the home and sheeted the roof, the partner family and Habitat staff installed the mitigation system and laid pipe for the sprinkling system, and subcontractors completed the rough plumbing, HVAC, electrical and all of the flatwork. The home is now ready for an early morning four way inspection.
