A BUSY, SNOWY APRIL WEEKEND

Habitat for Humanity of Utah County participated in many activities and events over this snowy and cold April weekend.

The Habitat ReStore had a booth at the Home and Garden Expo at Utah Valley University (luckily inside the UCCU Events Center) and gave out hundreds of ReStore coupons, some deck screws, and even sold some radon kits.

Other ReStore staff and volunteers donned white "zoot" suits to collect paint in the snow at the County's Hazardous Waste Collection Day at the Orem Public Works Building. Tons of paint was collected and will be sold at the ReStore on Orem Blvd. to raise money for Habitat's local affordable housing mission.

Members of the community joined Mike and Lorinda Feeney Saturday afternoon as they kicked off the renovation of their Habitat rehabilitation home at 1564 South 100 East, Orem. The Feeney's, Orem City Council member, Margaret Black, and others celebrated with a balloon launch and a delicious cake provided by Sam's Club.
