FROM LAKES TO PEAKS! CYCLING FOR HABITAT!

Habitat for Humanity of Utah County held its third annual Tour de Habitat Lakes to Peaks Benefit Ride this past Saturday.  This year's ride was the official cycling event for the Orem City's Summerfest Celebration.  As part of the event, three rides were held for varying skill levels - Lakes, Peaks, and Family.  In the morning,  many of the  75 registered  riders took on the lofty challenge to ride up all three peaks in Provo Canyon -Squaw Peak, South Fork, and Sundance.  Others took it a bit easier and road around Orem or limited their ride to one or two of the peaks. In the evening, 55 adults and children rode the parade route with Hootz from the Orem Owlz leading the way.  You couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!Special thanks to all those who volunteered for or participated in the cycling event benefitting Habitat's local affordable housing efforts.  We would especially like to thank our sponsors - Orem City, Check City, Mad Dog Cycles, Harmon's, Bikewagon.com, PowerBar, Orem Owlz, KSL TV, the Barefoot Group, Designisgo.com, Costa Vida, and Texas Roadhouse.
