A "DAY ON" IN THE COLD!

Students from Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University spent their "day off" and braved very cold temperatures to honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King this past Monday by volunteering their time at the South Franklin Community Center in Provo. The student volunteers worked with Habitat for Humanity of Utah County staff to wrap the exterior of the building and get it ready for siding.

The Community Center, located at approximately 700 South 750 West, is a unique public/private partnership between Provo City, Horizon Management, Provo City Housing Authority, the United Way of Utah County, and Community Action Services and Food Bank. The 2,800 square foot community center will host a variety of programs when completed that will serve Provo’s South Franklin neighborhood.
