Miller, Others Help Get Community “Revved Up” for Habitat at Annual Breakfast

Habitat for Humanity of Utah County held its Sixth Annual Fundraising Breakfast this past Tuesday at the Riverside Country Club in Provo with over 130 community members in attendance. Gail Miller, owner of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, was the guest speaker at the car themed event sponsored by Banner Bank. Habitat homeowners, Carlos Reina and Flora Aleman, also provided some motivating remarks.

Miller shared an inspiring story of a man who gave them gas and asked that they stop and help the next person they see out of gas in return. She described how that man’s example shaped their community contributions in the future. “I understand the need for all of us to help each other and not be too proud,” she said, “we are all better for it.” Miller encouraged all to “pay it forward” and complimented Habitat for a system that allows all who contribute to do the same. “Building is so needful,” she said, “We cannot quit building.” She certainly got us revved up!

Thanks to Arthur Newell, Banner Bank, Gail Miller, Carlos Reina, Flora Aleman, Margaret Willden, Bed of Roses, the Riverside Country Club and for all those that attended the event. It was a great success!
