An Evening of Inspiration!

Habitat for Humanity of Utah County held its annual International Day of Prayer and Action event on Sunday at the Home Builders Blitz Build site at 500 West 500 South in Provo. The annual interfaith event, in support of those in need of shelter, was very inspirational and included prayer, scripture, beautiful music from the Art City Brass, and inspiring words from UVU President Matt Holland, Habitat Board President, Tara Riddle, and future Habitat Homeowner, Grey Gundersen.

The International Day of Prayer and Action is a time when the entire Habitat for Humanity community is urged to come together in prayer for those in need of shelter. Through prayer, Habitat for Humanity continues to make a dramatic difference in the lives of people around the world. Many volunteers are drawn to this ministry after hearing God’s call and seeking God’s guidance through prayer. Other prayers are answered when families and communities grow in the shelter of God’s grace. The hurdles of funding and building homes are overcome through the miracles of prayer.

The Daily Herald did a nice article about the evening. Read it at http://www.heraldextra.com/news/community/habitat-for-humanity-of-utah-county-group-observes-day-of/article_759b07d8-ad58-5e0e-8daa-b62b6265302f.html.
