Habitat for Humanity of Utah County held its annual volunteer and community supporter recognition event on Wednesday, March 23rd at Castle Park in Lindon. The silver themed event, sponsored by Americas Barter Exchange and its members, included a delicious dinner by Customer Catering, music by Michael R. Hicks, a unique cake and yummy cupcakes made by Habitat homeowner, Tia Webb, and fun favors. Business partners, supporters, and community volunteers were honored for their outstanding service efforts with the local Habitat affiliate over the past year. In celebration of Habitat’s 25th birthday, the affiliate also honored some long time volunteers and supporters with some special “silver” awards.
Those receiving awards during the dinner event included: Jones Excavating Co., Karin Jessen, Kenny Seng, Provo Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Mitylite, Gregg Wright, Susan Levanger, Utah County Environmental Health, Jamberry Nails, IM Flash Technologies, Crest Financial, Jeff McDonald, Stella Welsh, Ray and Tye Noorda and family, Chuck Irwin, and the Utah Valley Home Builders Association. Special thanks to Habitat’s Volunteer Coordinator, LeAnn Hillam, and Volunteer Committee members, Eric Wilson and Merilee Bishop, for planning the nice evening.
