Mayor Richard Brunst, Betty Washburn, and many other community members were on hand as Habitat for Humanity of Utah County cut the ribbon on its third and final home at its Washburn Reams Estates Project in Orem on May 23rd. The two bedroom home, located at 520 North 1060 West, will provide safe and affordable housing for hardworking widow, Valerie Curtis. A memorial project sign was also unveiled at the celebration. The three home, affordable housing project was named in honor and memory of former Orem Mayor, Jerry Washburn, and City Manager, Jim Reams. Both community leaders were strong supporters of Habitat’s local affordable housing mission. It was a great day!
