Despite the rain, cold, and last minute venue change, Habitat celebrated its 25th Year in Utah County by ribbon cutting on the Blitz Build Home in Provo and holding a big party at a local LDS Church Friday evening. Over 120 people, including board and staff members, families, EDGE Homes employees, volunteers, former board members, and community supporters, helped Habitat celebrate this milestone and cheer on the Morgan family as they cut the ribbon on their new home built in just 8 days by EDGE Homes. Attendees enjoyed J Dawgs, cupcakes made by Habitat homeowner, Tia Webb, music by Craig Conover, and remarks by Provo Mayor John Curtis, EDGE President, Gordy Jones, Grandmother, Marilyn Tiffany, and one of the affiliate’s Founder’s, Dave Dominguez. Habitat also provided recognition to those who participated in the Blitz Build and introduced its new 25 Year Celebration Video at the end of the evening. It was an amazing night! Special thanks to all those that made it possible! And a big thanks to LDS Stake President Michael Merz for saving the evening by providing us a indoor location for the almost rained out event.
