Habitat for Humanity of Utah County had the opportunity to participate in the inaugural kNOw Poverty Summit at Utah Valley University on September 28th. Habitat's Executive Director, Kena Mathews, served on the planning committee for the Summit aimed at bringing awareness of poverty in our community. The Summit, sponsored by Community Action's Circle Initiative, BYU Channel 11, UVU's Social Work Program, and Intermountain Health Care, included a Poverty Simulation, speakers including former Habitat Board President, Val Hale, and a resource fair.
