Habitat for Humanity Staff and volunteers from Habitat's Student Chapters at BYU and UVU worked together on Saturday to remove damaged ceiling tiles and drywall at the Provo Community Congregational United Church of Christ at 175 N University Avenue. Several months ago, the church's roof flooded causing a lot of damage the ceiling and the insurance would not cover the repairs. The Church asked for Habitat's help and we were happy to oblige. The Community Church is a long time, committed faith partner of the local Habitat affiliate and is located in one of our target neighborhoods. We have a photo hanging in the office that shows our founders and others together at a planning meeting that was held at the Church. That was over 25 years ago! Habitat will be working with volunteers again to help paint the damaged area once it is repaired. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our wonderful faith partner!
