RESTORE TO CELEBRATE BIRTHDAY WITH CAKE CUTTING, BIG ANNOUNCEMENT
Habitat for Humanity of Utah County’s ReStore Home Improvement Outlet will celebrate its second birthday with a cake cutting celebration on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at its Provo store location at 626 North Freedom Blvd. An important announcement will be made during the event. All interested community members are invited to attend.

HABITAT TO OBSERVE EARTH DAY WITH “CARS FOR HOMES” CAR WASH
Habitat for Humanity of Utah County will be observing Earth Day on Saturday, April 18th by promoting its “Cars for Homes” program with a car wash in the parking lot at its ReStore Home Improvement Outlet, located at 626 North Freedom Blvd., Provo. Community members can stop by between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., have their car washed, and learn about Habitat’s vehicle donation program and other recycling programs. The cost is $5.00 with proceeds benefiting Habitat’s local construction efforts.

RIBBON TO BE CUT ON HOMEOWNER SPONSORED HOME
Habitat for Humanity of Utah County will be cutting the ribbon on its first ever homeowner sponsored home on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at 1104 North 950 West in Provo. A light dinner will be served. All interested community members are invited to attend. The three bedroom, disabled accessible home was funded by Habitat homeowner mortgage payments and was built with Galen and Victoria Sorensen and their two small children.

Habitat for Humanity of Utah County is a non-profit, ecumenical organization and is one of more than 2,300 affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International. Affiliated in 1991 by a group of local community members that were concerned about substandard housing in the county, the organization has built and/or renovated 33 homes providing more than 53 adults and 114 children safe and affordable housing.
