National Day of Prayer Inspires Local Community, Helps Provide Funding for Affordable Housing

Former POW Larry "Lucky" Chesley gave an inspiring talk about the power of faith, hope, and prayer at this year's National Day of Prayer Event at the Provo Tabernacle A retired Lieutenant Colonel, Chesley, who was shot down over Vietnam and spent seven years as a Prisioner of War, shared his story with over 800 attendees at last night's interfaith event. In addition to Chesley, beautiful music was provided by the Mapleton Chorale and Provo High School Choirs, and scriptures and prayers were offered by leaders of different faiths. A collection was taken for Habitat for Humanity of Utah County helping the affiliate raise $190.00 for its affordable housing mission.
