Habitat for Humanity of Utah County held its fifth annual Tour de Habitat Lakes to Peaks Benefit Ride to raise money for its local affordable housing efforts. The annual Orem Summerfest cycling event, included two rides – a 20 miler around Orem and a 60+ mile ride with 5,800 climbing feet up all three peaks in Provo Canyon -Squaw Peak, South Fork, and to the top of the Alpine Loop. Many of the participants took on the lofty “peaks” challenge while others took it a bit easier and road around Orem or limited their ride to one or two of the peaks. Special thanks to Orem City, to Ancestry.com for being this year’s title sponsor, and all those who volunteered for, sponsored, or participated in the annual cycling event. It was a great day!
