A “Resourcefull” HabitPaint Program

Habitat for Humanity of Utah County’s HabiPaint Program was selected to receive honorable mention honors and a $2,000 cash award as part of EideBailly’s Resourcefullness Award program this past week at an award’s ceremony held in downtown Salt Lake. The Eide Bailly Resourcefullness Award provides recognition and support to 501(c)(3) organizations that have undertaken sustainable, creative and impactful revenue generation initiatives.

As part of the HabiPaint program, donated paint is recycled, mixed together, placed in one gallon cans and five gallon buckets, and sold at a deep discount at Habitat’s ReStores in Orem and Spanish Fork. This successful, revenue–generating initiative has added over $50,000 to the affiliate’s bottom line since January 2013 and has helped the environment by keeping leftover paint and paint cans out of the landfill.

We are grateful for this honor and appreciate EideBailly’s recognition and generosity!
