Give to Habitat. Give to the Young family. #GivingTuesday.

Habitat for Humanity of Utah County has partnered with #GivingTuesday to help build another Habitat home in Utah County.

Now in its fourth year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. This year, #GivingTuesday will kick off the charitable giving season on December 1, 2015.

The local Habitat is asking for donations to help a local family build their dream home in Spanish Fork. Stacey Young, a single mother and of two, has had to fill the place of the bread winner and nurturer. Divorced and raising her two children for the past 15 years along, she has let hope and faith guide her through constant worries and medical issues.

She and her kids have had to work as a team to overcome many challenges and get them where they are today. Her children, now teenagers, have made education a priority in their lives. Her daughter is in her first year of college and her son is in high school.

For this hardworking family, life has not always been a bouquet of roses. Through their struggles, they have found the importance of protecting those closest to them. The home they are building with Habitat will be a testament of their hard work and the generosity of those that give.

#GivingTuesday harnesses the potential of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities. A simple act of kindness in the form of a monetary donation to Habitat will help put a roof over someone head and help build a better future for them and the community.
