Habitat partners every year with the Utah Valley Home Builders Association to complete a couple of Subcontractors for Santa projects. This year Habitat selected two projects, for the Gadds and for Valerie Curtis.
Jim and Kathy Gadd live in Provo and were in need of flooring in their kitchen and had some plumbing issues in their bathroom involving the toilet and their sink. Our construction staff, Kevin, Craig and Eric, installed new flooring in the kitchen and repaired the bathroom sink and toilet. This project has made a huge difference for the Gadds and their Labrador Retriever! In the future we are hoping to replace their windows with Provo City CDBG funding.
This week we completed a project for one of Habitat's own, Valerie Curtis. Valerie is a valuable member of our Orem ReStore staff, and she had some electrical and plumbing issues in her home. Our construction staff replaced three light fixtures and installed a new toilet and bathroom flooring. They also replaced her refrigerator and dishwasher.
