Habitat for Humanity of Utah County had a very busy day Saturday with a variety of events going on throughout the county. Future homeowner families joined the staff of Kenny Seng Construction to walk in and promote Habitat in the Santaquin Parade. Habitat staff members attended the groundbreaking for Orem City’s All Together Playground. Habitat is partnering with Orem City on this valuable community project and will be providing construction supervision and tool management during the playground installation in September. Habitat sponsored a rest stop near Mosida for cyclists riding in the Annual Hotter Than Heck Century Ride around Utah Lake. Our construction team worked with a group of female volunteers named the Riveters on our Women Build Site in Provo. Habitat provided the paint and paint supplies for the new Bike Collective Mural in Provo’s Joaquin Neighborhood through our Neighborhood Revitalization Program. The mural was painted today by community volunteers. And like every Saturday, our ReStores in Orem and Spanish Fork were open. It was a crazy busy day but a good day! It is feels good to be involved in so many beneficial events and activities in our service area.
